As part of our Black History Month celebrations, Year 5 have been busy creating a stunning display of bunting to showcase the people, cultures, and achievements of the Black diaspora.

Each child designed their own flag to honour an inspiring figure, country, or cultural tradition linked to Black history. From vibrant patterns inspired by African textiles to portraits of influential changemakers, the bunting reflects the creativity, thoughtfulness, and pride our pupils have shown in their learning.

We’re looking forward to continuing these celebrations at our Holy Trinity Carnival on Friday 17th October.

It has been wonderful to see the children engage so deeply with the stories and contributions of Black individuals throughout history — and we can’t wait to celebrate their work with the wider school community next week!
