Chinese New Year

This week Reception celebrated Chinese New Year!

We learnt that in Chinese tradition, each year is named after one of twelve animals, which feature in the Chinese zodiac.
The rat, the ox, the tiger, the rabbit, the dragon, the snake, the horse, the goat, the monkey, the rooster, the dog and the pig.

This year is the year of the pig!

We made Chinese cucumber pancakes which were delicious and performed a magnificent celebration dance for our friends in Year one!
