As part of our Black History learning we’ve been focusing on Handa’s Surprise and about Kenya, where the story is set. We looked closely at photos from Kenya and the UK to learn about the geographical and human features of two contrasting places. We’ve also been looking at atlases and searching for Kenya on the globe. After learning about the Masai Tribe we designed and painted African tribal necklaces focusing on a repeated colour pattern.
