As we come to the end of an awe-inspiring term, it is wonderful to reflect on our children’s achievements and their evident love of learning and performing. We look forward to continuing to build on this next term through new projects and opportunities….

We were delighted to end the term with a visit from our local MP Sir Keir Starmer. He was able to find time in his incredibly demanding schedule to come to meet Bea in Y4 (the winning designer of his Christmas card) and to promote safe internet use through a Google assembly – Be Internet Legends.

We continued to be wowed by our children’s talents this week at musical performances including: guitar, ukulele, piano, class bands and jazz bands entertaining us and sharing the fruits of their commitment to learning an instrument.

Our head boy/girl team have successfully achieved one of their key pledges this year which was to create a new school library. They share how books can be borrowed and returned when we return after Easter. Our thanks to PiP for their support in fundraising for this project.

Reception class had a bit of an incident this week when the Easter bunny made off with the eggs Mr Jimmy sent them, thankfully their posters below helped them all to be recovered!!

Cake Sale

Thank you to Y1 & Y2 PiP reps for the delicious cake sale with a few more still to sell today, they had already raised just over £250.

We wish all our families a wonderful Easter break – time to delve into a book and quality family time. We look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 23rd April by 8:55am.

Christian Values

Our Christian value for this half term has been ‘Forgiveness’ and while we will move on to focus on another of our Christian values next half term, let us continue to show, give and accept forgiveness in all that we do.

Easter Reflection

Easter is a time of joy, celebration and new life. Jesus’ resurrection shows us that nothing is impossible to God and this fills us with great hope. Hope that all people will have the chance to live life to the full and have a future free from poverty. Hope that through working together with others we can make the world a fairer, better place for everyone to live.

We must never stop helping children to have hope and believe in both themselves and those in the world around them.
