I hope that 2020 has started well for you all.
Infant and junior choir, along with Jazz band will begin next week. All other clubs start on the week beginning 20th January. Parents will be informed by Wednesday 15th.
Urgent call out for junior science club – this will not go ahead unless more children sign up. The company that lead this club are a marked improvement on last year, so please do consider giving it a go.
Earlier this week, children from Y5 and Y6 took part in the CSSA Sports Hall Athletics Competition. Each child competed in various events, such as sprints, obstacle relays, javelin and many more. They all performed brilliantly and came an impressive 4th place out of 13 schools. A huge well done to Taylor, Ranyah, Jia and Nicola for coming joint 1st in the 4 by 1 Sprint Relay, Augie for coming runners up in the Triple Jump and Feodor for runners up in the Chest Push events.
Well done to our Y4, Y5 and Y6 girls team, who took part in a one off Sports 4 All football event earlier this week. The girls played against 6 other Camden primary schools, including Gospel Oak and Primrose Hill who are both usually extremely tough opponents. The team played some amazing football together and managed to win 1, draw 5 and lose 0 games. A special mention goes to Ida and Lacey for protecting the goal so well, and also Nicola for her outstanding determination and support for her team mates.
Life is a journey in learning, self-discovery and self-improvement, this makes us think about the importance of being aware of ourselves and our reactions. Endurance is a key skill and attribute that we need to cultivate. Helping children to understand that mistakes are key to learning will build greater confidence in giving something another go and will also foster a greater sense of achievement along the road of life.
“By your endurance you will gain your lives.” Luke 21:19
If your child is in Y3 or above, please see the letter from Fr Graeme that has gone home today about preparation for confirmation. Please return the form to the office by Mon 20th Jan.
