All the world’s a stage and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts.’
As You Like It, William Shakespeare
What an incredible week this has been and what a way to end a great year! To be able to share your children’s incredible talent through the Julius Caesar performances has been both inspirational and humbling – such young people showing us that anything is possible. We will keep you updated on the recordings of the performances, which should be ready next week – we will send you the links.
Please see that our ‘Art Page’ has been updated on our school website.

Christian Vision
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, by encouraging one another.

As the school year comes towards its end, we reflect on giving thanks for how well we have spurred one another on in love and good deeds. The shared encouragement that has enabled us to have the courage to face the daily challenges by not giving up has led to much success and achievement, academically, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
We now need to allow ourselves to pause, rewind, and reflect on everything that has been accomplished this year. In this time of reflection, we must also think about what we have learnt from the past and how we will use this for the future.
Let us keep Year 6 in our minds, in our hearts and in our prayers as they prepare for pastures new, taking with them all the care, courage and co-operation they have nurtured and grown at our school. We know they are amazing and will continue to spur one another on in love and good deeds – we know others will see that too!
“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts”(Psalm 105:1-2).
Daily Supported Reading video goes live!
Watch our new Daily Supported Reading (DSR) video, starring some of our very own Year 1 readers and staff team. DSR is a key stage one reading programme that we have been successfully running for the past few years in school. It runs alongside our phonics programme, supporting our children to become independent, motivated readers and exposing them to at least 70 real books over the course of the programme! The video was created as part of our role as a DSR Hub school in London and was shown at this summer’s national DSR forum to share our practice with other schools.

Secondary Transfer 2025 – A Date for your Diary

We will be holding a Meet the Parents event on Tuesday September 17th at 6pm. If you are thinking about where to send your child for secondary, this is an invaluable opportunity to ask questions from a friendly panel of families at our local state secondary schools. You can ask whatever you want and also chat to panellists afterwards. There’s been a lot of change in Camden in the last year – just as there may be within the independent school sector – and this is your chance to get up-to-date information rather than relying on gossip. Schools represented will be Acland Burghley, Camden School for Girls, Haverstock, Parliament Hill and William Ellis. Parents from all year groups are welcome, as are older children. You can find our more about Meet the Parents at www.meettheparents.info.

New Emotional Wellbeing Website for Young People and Families
A new NHS website, packed with emotional wellbeing and mental health information and resources, has been launched to help young people and families, as well as professionals working with them, to navigate support options.
NCL Waiting Room was produced with the help and input of young people, families and professionals. It aims to be a ‘one-stop shop’ for information on specialist mental health services, community groups, emotional wellbeing and self-care resources.
It allows young people and their parents or carers to search for, filter and share resources based on their needs and preferences.
NCL Waiting Room will continue to grow and develop, so watch this space for more details. You can visit the website here and try out the Support Hub resource navigation feature here.
If you have any feedback on the website, you can do this on the relevant pages of the site, or email rtown@tavi-port.nhs.uk
Camden Music Service
