As we come to the end of what has been a wonderful half term, we are absolutely delighted to share the news that we were successful in a community investment levy bid that our charity submitted for the playground. We will now be able to finish the KS2 playground and develop the infant playground into an inspiring space for both play and learning.
Thank you to parents that supported our first film night of the academic year – £450 was raised and the children seemed to enjoy the film choices. PiP will update parents after half term on how the money you have worked hard to raise will be spent for the benefit of the children.
KS2 choir took part in stunning performance of St Matthew’s Passion (in German ) with the English Touring Opera Company at the Temple Church last night. It was quite a spectacle and we hope inspired some of our budding choristers of the future….
Black History Month Project
We had a fantastic party to celebrate the amazing work that children did related to the experiences of Windrush generation. Through drama and history lessons children have developed an understanding of the emotions of the people coming to Britain at that time and how traumatic it was for them to go from feeling excited about a fresh new start to being rejected and ill treated by many in the country from whom they were expecting refuge. Today all classes have enjoyed experiencing Caribbean food and music which we look forward to sharing with parents at the end of the day.
Sporting News
Earlier this week, a group of Year 3 and 4 children took part in the Camden Benchball competition. The children had to mix together and play with other children from 7 other Camden primary schools. They all had great fun and really enjoyed being part of a team and meeting new people.
Congratulations to Jason & Josie in Y6 for being selected to represent in Camden in the under 11’s cross country team at the London Youth Games

Christian Values
As the half term draws to a close, we reflect on how the focus on Koinonia has helped us grow in care, courage and co-operation especially in our relationships with one another. We all come together from different backgrounds, experiences and interests but are united by being a valued member of the HTSS community. We must always show kindness within our school and beyond, especially at times when relationships can be challenging. Our actions and words have great power and have greatest impact when they are used for good.
“Encourage one another and build each other up.” Thessalonians 5:11
