The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.

Our Summer Fair is just 1 week away!

This year, we will be celebrating the diversity of our school community through an international food experience.

We need your support to make this a success!

Please bring in a dish – whether it’s a traditional dish, a family favourite or a culinary creation you’d love to share, your contributions will help create a vibrant and delicious experience for all to enjoy. Drop off your donations on the morning of the fair or just before it starts. Remember, no nuts and an ingredients list would be really helpful. Thank you for your support!

Raffle tickets– raffle tickets have gone home in children’s bags today. Lots of fantastic prizes to be won.

Central Saint Martins invites you to the Camden Schools Arts Biennale

This summer, a new Camden Schools Art Biennale hosted by Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, in partnership with Camden Council and Camden Learning, is coming to Granary Square, King’s Cross.

Running from 11 to 17 July at the Lethaby Gallery in Central Saint Martins, visitors can explore hundreds of artworks by Camden schoolchildren in an exhibition which showcases art developed by every school and every key stage of learning – from primary and special schools to secondary schools, through to A-level.

The free event is set to become a highlight of the borough’s cultural calendar as an ongoing sister-event to the much-loved Camden Schools Music Festival, which sees every music class in Camden perform at the Royal Albert Hall every two years.

Alongside the exhibition, a free events programme will be on offer, with a range of activities developed with families, young people, and art teachers in mind.

Here is a taste of some of our children’s great art!

Christian Vision

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, by encouraging one another.

This week we continued to learn about ordinary people that gave up their worldly goods to follow the path of Jesus and spread the word of God. This week we reflected on St Francis of Assisi. He is one of the patron saints of Italy. Having grown up thoroughly enjoying the riches of life, he gave all of this up to follow the path of Jesus and to spread the word of Jesus, wearing a brown sackcloth held together by rope.

As well as helping with the repair of churches in Italy, Francis founded an order, or group, of monks called the Franciscans, who still exist today; working with those experiencing poverty, homelessness, unemployment, abandonment, and exclusion. St Francis is also known for his love of nature, particularly his love of animals and will often be seen in paintings surrounded by animals.

Through learning about St Francis we are taught that God works through our suffering, teaching us to love, to trust, and to bear our burden with humility and patience.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

New Emotional Wellbeing Website for Young People and Families

A new NHS website, packed with emotional wellbeing and mental health information and resources, has been launched to help young people and families, as well as professionals working with them, to navigate support options.

NCL Waiting Room was produced with the help and input of young people, families and professionals. It aims to be a ‘one-stop shop’ for information on specialist mental health services, community groups, emotional wellbeing and self-care resources.

It allows young people and their parents or carers to search for, filter and share resources based on their needs and preferences.

NCL Waiting Room will continue to grow and develop, so watch this space for more details. You can visit the website here and try out the Support Hub resource navigation feature here.

If you have any feedback on the website, you can do this on the relevant pages of the site, or email rtown@tavi-port.nhs.uk
