There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.

Black History Month
As families are aware, Black History Month begins on Saturday. You will have received information on the various school activities and we really want our parents to be part of this. Please contact the school office as soon as possible if you are able to visit your child’s class to share stories of their choice celebrating black cultures (Rec, Y1 and Y2) or to share memories, personal or family experiences, stories or inspirational figures (Y3-Y6).
Save the date: please put 21st October 3.00pm-4.30pm in your diaries to come in and join our whole school community celebration of Black History Month! There will be music, food and lots of crafts activities. Look out for requests from PiP as to how you can help with organising this event.
Camden has various events for children and families, find out more in the following links:

Sporting News
Earlier this week, a group of our Year 4 children took part in an after school dodgeball competition. They all had to mix up into teams with children from various other Camden primary schools and they competed in a series of games. The children had a great time and really enjoyed getting to know new people. A huge well done to the team and a few special mentions go to Maximilian, Cali and Charlotte for their excellent display of sportsmanship throughout the entire event.

Autumn 1 Christian Value – Koinonia
The heart of the gospel is that Jesus is the path to eternal life, and that if we repent and believe, we should follow Him and obey His commands. And as Jesus told us, those commands are first to love God and second to love our neighbours as ourselves. When we love others as ourselves, it is a joining, a uniting, a partnership. It says in effect that we are all in this together.
When we love others as ourselves and exemplify the love Jesus gave to us, we are generous. We share what we have, whatever that is—money, food, time, gifts and more. All are connected, all interrelated. It is our responsibility and duty to model the love of giving to our children, if we are to enable them to love others in the fullest possible way.
Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf.
