A huge well done to our amazing Cross-Country team on coming 4th place out of 27 Camden primary schools. This is a great achievement for all of the children and we are extremely proud of each and every one of them to took part.

The children were super supportive of each other throughout the whole event and it was lovely to see them all celebrating each other’s efforts. We would like to congratulate the Year 3 girls team (Betty, Asha, Skye, Elsie and Mali) who came 1st place overall with a combined score of 89 points. We would also like to congratulate Heath in Year 3 for winning his race, Betty in Year 3 for coming 2nd and Jason (Year 6), Josie (Year 6), Taylor (Year 5), Fred (Year 5) for coming in the top 6 in their races. Finally, good luck to Jason and Josie who will be representing Camden in the London Youth Games later in the year.

Black History Month Project

For the last two weeks of this half term the whole school will be taking part in a whole school project celebrating Black History Month. In the United Kingdom the month of October is observed as Black History Month. It recognises the contributions of African, Caribbean and Asian communities. The first Black History Month event was organised by the Greater London Council in 1987 during an era of political change and activism around racial equality. This year, children across the school will be learning about the Caribbean and the Windrush Generation. The project will culminate in a whole school celebration on Friday 19th October. On Friday 19th every class will have a music workshop with Maroon Town, a London based band who fuse ‘the spirituality and cinematic sounds of classic ska with contemporary street rap and a cheeky slice of Latin funk’. We will have an end of project/end of term party from 2.45-3.15 on Friday 19th October so ask you all to come along!

Friday 12th October – after school with collection time being 5pm. Tickets on sale from Monday 8th Oct.
Rec & Y1 will enjoy ‘Despicable Me’ (pick up from school playground) while Y2 – Y6 will be viewing ‘Up’ (pick up from the church hall).

Y5 have been experimenting in the style of Frida Kahlo this term – as you can see from Ranyah’s wonderful piece of art.

Christian Values

Koinonia (fellowship/community)

“A Christian school is one in which the atmosphere has that kind of openness about it, that sense that people are worth spending time with, that people need time to grow, need loving attention.” Dr Rowan Williams

It is our mission to work together to unlock and nurture the potential of all those in our school community. We believe that everyone has something that makes them wonderful and we encourage this to be shared with others, even in the smallest way.
