Occasional Places – on occasion we have spaces in which to welcome new children and families to our school. They are also very welcome to visit.
The Holy Trinity Way – The Three Cs at home!
Rules allow us to teach behaviour. What are the rules in your home? Think about about them and note them down. Ask your children, separately if you have more than one child, what they think the rules at home are. At school we use three simple rules which are ‘Care, Courage and Co-operation.’ They cover all behaviours from sharing toys, to being ready for learning, through to using devices safely. Think about how you might be able to use our Three Cs at home and what that might mean for teaching your children the behaviours you expect to see.
For more information about supporting positive behaviours both in school and at home, you can sign up to the ‘Behaviour Book Club’ session, hosted by Charlotte Clarke from ‘When The Adults Change,’ online at 8:00pm on the last Thursday of each month. You can find the joining link for the ‘Behaviour Book Club’ here.
If you’d like to learn more about the relational approach we use to positive behaviour management, you can buy a copy of ‘When The Parents Change, Everything Changes’ online here or we have copies available to borrow in school – ask us on the gate!

Christian Vision
At the heart of our school are high expectations and depth in faith that inspire us to grow, flourish and work together to achieve our full potential. It is our intention that we all develop our fullest sense of self, both individually and collectively.
Toward love and good deeds.
Hebrews 10: 24

This week we continued our focus on Moses, learning about the next stage of the story when God sent ten plagues to change the stubborn mind of pharaoh. Finally, pharaoh was persuaded to set the Israelites free from slavery in Egypt, but he changed his mind again and led out his army to recapture God’s people and return them to bondage. We heard how God miraculously parted the Red Sea, allowing Moses to lead the people to safety, before causing the sea to rise again and wash away the pursuing Egyptians.
This is an example of what Christians call God’s providence. The word ‘providence’ is linked to the word ‘provide’ and comes from the Latin “providēre” which combines “pro-” (meaning “before”) and “vidēre” (meaning “to see”). So it means God already knows what we need and will provide it for us; he will organise events so that we are cared for and saved. It’s what we mean when we pray ‘Give us this day our daily bread’ – we’re saying, ‘Provide us with the things you know we need.’
This is often different from what we want – before God parted the Red Sea, the Israelites were in despair and blamed Moses for leading them out of slavery. They wanted to go back to being enslaved rather than dying in the desert, but God instead provided what they needed – a way to cross the sea and achieve their freedom.
We too have opportunities to work together and spur each other on to have depth in faith, so that even when we are in despair, we can still trust in God’s providence and trust that he cares for us and will provide what we need to achieve our full potential.
Attendance and Punctuality

Our attendance was 96% this week – we hope to get back to 97% next week and well done for the whole school immunisation which will hopefully help keep the flu at bay this winter.
The attendance bears went to: Y2 with 98% and Y3 with 100%
Well done Y3 & Y4 for winning the early birds for punctuality.
