The beginning is the most important part of the work.

Welcome back to our lovely families – we hope that you had a super summer break!

We have again started the new academic year with our ‘Settling in September.’ This is an opportunity for the staff to get to know the children and for the children to understand and put into practice the ‘Holy Trinity Way’ which reinforces our school rules of care, courage and co-operation. This in turn enables us to live our Christian vision (see below). For parents, you will receive class letters today with key information about your child’s new year group and will have an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher on Tuesday 16th September in our annual ‘Meet the Teacher’ event.

A reminder that all clubs start next week.

Christian Vision

At the heart of our school are high expectations and depth in faith that inspire us to grow, flourish and work together to achieve our full potential. It is our intention that we all develop our fullest sense of self, both individually and collectively.

Toward love and good deeds.

Hebrews 10: 23-25

As we begin our new school year, we reflect on the the parable of the sower (Mark 4:1-20). In this story, Jesus talks about different kinds of soil. The good soil is what we want to be like—it receives the seed, and the seed grows to produce a great harvest. In order to be that good soil, we need to have high expectations, we also need to open our minds to new knowledge and our hearts to new friendships.

We want this to be a year in which our children continue to flourish and grow in God’s love. Just as a seed needs to be planted in good soil to thrive, our faith needs to have depth. We can deepen our faith by having, and showing, care, courage and co-operation; by always trying to do the right thing, we allow God’s word to take root and blossom within us.

Attendance and Punctuality

A child’s education is a partnership between home and school, and regular attendance is crucial for their success.

Missing even a few days can create gaps in your child’s learning, making it difficult for them to keep up with lessons and key concepts. Consistent attendance ensures your child can fully participate in their academic development, build vital social skills with peers, and feel a sense of belonging in the school community. Consistent punctuality and attendance also teaches the important habits of responsibility and commitment that are essential for every child’s future. We understand that some absences are unavoidable, but for minor ailments, please carefully consider whether your child is well enough to attend. Every day at school matters.
