Opal Launch – Freedom Friday
Today saw the launch of our new OPAL (Outdoor Play & Learning) playtime project! The children all took part in a play assembly with Mrs Goll and Ms Arnison in the morning, where they heard about the project, discussed how to show the Three Cs at playtime, and agreed a plan for tidy up time. When lunch time came, the entire playground was opened so that all age groups could access all areas – this was a huge success! Our junior children relished the opportunity to play in the sand pit and mud kitchen! Children of different ages enjoyed dressing up and playing together, and many of the little ones loved bouncing on the trampoline and playing on the pitch. Scroll down to see some photos of the fun!…

OPAL Donations
Every week of Autumn term 2, we will be introducing new toys and resources to the playground. We will be relying heavily on donations for this. Before the weather gets colder/wetter, we kindly ask families to see if they are able to donate any of the following items to school for use by the children in the playground. If so, please pop them in one of the blue OPAL wheelie bins outside the church hall. Please ensure items are secured in a bag. Thank you very much in advance!
- Cardboard boxes of all sizes
- Water play resources e.g. watering cans, buckets, containers, pipes, guttering, trays etc
- Small world play, such as toy cars, dinosaurs
- Teddies, stuffed animals and dolls

Occasional Places
On occasion we have spaces in which to welcome new children and families to our school. You are the ones that know us best, so if you know of any family looking for a school place, please do advise them to contact the school office to find out if we have any places. They are also very welcome to visit.
Second Hand Uniform Sale
Thursday 6th November – before and after school.
The Holy Trinity Way – Using care, courage and co-operation outside school.
When behaviour is wobbly, rather than reaching straight for the threat of punishment or sharing the effect that the behaviour has on your own emotions, try offering help. You can ask, ‘What can I do to help you follow our rule about showing co-operation?’ or ‘I know this is difficult, but we do need to get our shoes on; what can I do to help?’ Take notice of how differently your child responds.
Christian Vision
At the heart of our school are high expectations and depth in faith that inspire us to grow, flourish and work together to achieve our full potential. It is our intention that we all develop our fullest sense of self, both individually and collectively.
Toward love and good deeds.
Hebrews 10: 24

This week we thought about the very first people God created: Adam and Eve. God placed them in a perfect home, the Garden of Eden, where he had high expectations for them. He wanted them to thrive, be responsible and truly flourish as they learned to work together to care for the world. To guide them, God gave them one rule: do not eat the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. This rule was a chance for them to show trust and continue their perfect, loving friendship with God.
Sadly, Adam and Eve were convinced by a serpent that God’s rule was unfair and that eating the fruit would make them wise. They broke the one command they had. This choice meant they failed to meet God’s high expectations. They lost the chance to flourish in paradise because the perfect trust and relationship was broken.
When God called out to them, they hid and tried to blame each other instead of taking responsibility. This meant they had to leave the garden. The most significant part of the story is that God did not stop loving them and promised a rescuer (Jesus) to fix the broken relationship.
This story teaches us two things: first, that rules are there to help us and keep us safe, allowing us the best opportunity for growth. Second, even when we make mistakes, God’s love is constant. We can always choose to own up, say sorry, and choose to work together to make things right.
Attendance and Punctuality

Our attendance was 96% this week! Well done everyone for staying within the school standard this term so well and for taking advantage of every opportunity to learn.
The attendance bears went to: Y2 with 99% and Y3 with 96.5%
Well done to Y1 & Y3 for winning the early birds for punctuality.
