This week Reception celebrated Shrove Tuesday by making pancakes.
We learned that traditionally Christians would eat pancakes on the last day before Lent begins to use up foods like eggs and milk.
On Monday we went on a shopping trip to Morrisons to prepare for Shrove Tuesday.
We each brought in 50p and bought different fruits such as apples, peaches, mango’s and plums to eat with our pancakes. They were delicious!
Inspired by our trip to Morrisons we then made our own shop in Reception!
