Today, we visited Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre to understand the history behind the plays and how they were performed during Shakespeare’s day.

We learnt about the audience who used to watch plays at the Globe and how they were equally as important as the actors on stage. We also were surprised about how some parts of the audience were called Groundlings or penny stinkers as it only cost a penny to visit the Globe in those days. We also explored the Tempest with one of the actors at the Globe and we EVEN got to deliver a line from Prospero on the stage!
