Year 3 have been writing about our learning over this half term. We have created two displays.
Our first display is about Buddhism, which we have been learning about in R.E. We thought about what Buddhism was, and how it is different to Christianity. We drew parallels between Buddhist practices, and even tried out meditating as a form of prayer. We wrote about our key question, ‘What is Buddhism?’, in the form of Tibetan prayer flags often seen at the base of Mount Everest.
Our second display is of our work on The Railway Children. We have practiced building narratives, and have looked at how stories are created using a mountain metaphor. We then wrote our own versions of a scene from the Railway Children. Some of us changed the ending to add our own twist on the writing!
Come and see our writing in the classroom and see if you can spot yours!
