Year 4 are learning about Windrush for Black History month.
In drama, we explored how the passengers of the Empire Windrush may have felt as they left the Caribbean and arrived in London. Then, we wrote diary entries to record the feeling’s of the passengers.
In our history lesson we learnt about the challenges faced by the people from the Caribbean upon arrival in London. Year 4 explored different sources of evidence to reconstruct this period of history: poems, photos, paintings, official records, music, videos, and written accounts!
