Year 4 have been enthusiastically engaging in scientific enquiry to better understand electricity.
We rotated around a carousel of circuits, noticing that some were unsuccessful and others worked. We used observations and made changes to try and draw some conclusions about what is required to create a successful and complete circuit.

We were quick to notice some themes. We came to the conclusions that the unsuccessful circuits were not working because they were either not connected or not using suitable components.
We then applied our knowledge by making predictions about images of circuits, justified with evidence from our enquiry. We look forward to drawing on this next week when we progress our knowledge by exploring conductors and insulators.
