Year 4 visited a Roman Amphitheater and the Museum of London!
Year 4 explored the remains of an Amphitheater under The Guildhall Art gallery where we acted out a gladiator fight! We also studied Roman artefacts that had been discovered on site by archaeologists, discussing what the pieces where made from and what the Romans used them for. We also shared lots of our existing knowledge about Roman life and culture with the archaeologist.
Then, Year 4 went to the Museum of London and explored the Roman gallery. The gallery had lots of interesting artefacts and models of Roman homes and cities. We learnt more about what the Roman’s ate, what they built their houses from, and what they did when someone died.
