We had our weekly visit from our Mystery Reader today, it was Kristin (Asher’s mum). Kristin read ‘Sam and Dave Dig a hole’ by Mac Barnett.
Also, today in Year 1 we had an exciting visit from a Reggae band from Brixton who played for us. They were called Maroon Town. The lead singer told us all about how her mother came to England in the 1950’s from Jamaica. The music was amazing! We danced for the entire session. We also made Black Bean Salad for our celebration party at the end of the day. We also tried Papaya which some of us liked it and some of us did not. What a fantastic way to finish our wonderful term!
