Year 3 had an egg-cellent time on their recent trip to PizzaExpress, and what a delicious day it was!
We began our adventure with an exciting walk to the restaurant, showing fantastic listening skills and road safety awareness along the way. Once inside, the children were warmly welcomed and ready to get stuck into their pizza-making mission.
The workshop began with learning all about the ingredients used to make a pizza. The children were fascinated to discover where flour, tomatoes, and cheese come from, linking brilliantly to our learning in science and geography. Then came the best part — making their own pizzas! Each child carefully rolled their dough, some were naturals some need support but never gave up.
After their hard work and when we got back to school, everyone sat down together to enjoy their freshly baked creations. The children showed excellent table manners and independence, and there were lots of proud smiles as they tucked into their pizzas.
We were so impressed with Year 3’s behaviour throughout the trip. They represented the school wonderfully, showing cooperation, curiosity, and enthusiasm from start to finish.
A huge thank you to the PizzaExpress team for such a fun and informative experience — and well done, Year 3, for proving that learning can be very tasty indeed! 🍕✨
