Light is the task where many share the toil.

It is wonderful to welcome you all back after Easter with the spring sunshine lifting us out of the chillier months of the year. That said, as a school, the warm weather also brings some trepidation about very hot classrooms and limited ventilation – not conducive to maximised learning, especially in the older classes.
PiP have kindly taken on the mission to solve this problem and support us in installing cooling systems for the classrooms but as ever, we need everyone to play some part in making this happen.
PiP are organising an online and live auction on Thursday 22nd May and the target is £30K.
Thank you to those that have already contributed in any way but there is still more to that needs to be done.
Please keep an eye out for further information from school and from PiP about this exciting and very worthwhile fundraiser!

Christian Vision
At the heart of Holy Trinity & S. Silas School are high expectations and depth in faith that inspire our children to grow, flourish and work together to achieve their full potential. It is our intention for all children to develop their fullest sense of self, both individually and collectively.
Strong in our faith in God, let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, by encouraging one another.
Hebrews 10: 23-25

We began the term by reflecting on Easter, the time when we remember the highlight of the story of Jesus, God’s own Son. We remember how Jesus, after sharing his love and teaching us so much, died on the cross but then rose again. This event is full of hope and shows us that even in the darkest of times, there is always the possibility of a wonderful new beginning, a fresh start filled with light and promise.
We also began to think about a very important prayer that Jesus himself taught his friends, the Lord’s Prayer. The words of the Lord’s Prayer are filled with profound meaning that beautifully connects with the central message of Easter. This prayer reminds us of God’s unwavering love, the importance of forgiveness, the hope for a better world, and God’s ultimate power – all of which were powerfully demonstrated through Jesus’s life, death, and glorious resurrection. It is important to reflect on the hope that Easter brings and how we can strive to live out the teachings within the Lord’s Prayer in our own lives each and every day.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

New Emotional Wellbeing Website for Young People and Families
A new NHS website, packed with emotional wellbeing and mental health information and resources, has been launched to help young people and families, as well as professionals working with them, to navigate support options.
NCL Waiting Room was produced with the help and input of young people, families and professionals. It aims to be a ‘one-stop shop’ for information on specialist mental health services, community groups, emotional wellbeing and self-care resources.
It allows young people and their parents or carers to search for, filter and share resources based on their needs and preferences.
NCL Waiting Room will continue to grow and develop, so watch this space for more details. You can visit the website here and try out the Support Hub resource navigation feature here.
If you have any feedback on the website, you can do this on the relevant pages of the site, or email rtown@tavi-port.nhs.uk
