This week Year 2 have been tasting their way through Jewish festivals as part of our RE unit. We tasted apples and honey as part of Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year). On Wednesday, we had a special visitor (Ms Wainer’s mum!) come to teach us about Tu B’Shvat (birthday of the trees), and took part in some planting activities, decorating our own plant pots. We also tasted a range of fruits that celebrate the diversity of our earth. We tasted mango, banana, grape, dates and drank grape juice. We still had room for lunch!
