We have been learning about Buddhism this half term in RE. It has been a fascinating unit so far: we have learnt about the origins of this world religion, and have discussed the concept of suffering and thought about what humans can do to overcome this. In this lesson, Year 6 thought about what precepts we would follow, if we were to be in charge of our own societies.

We first started by choosing five precepts in groups of three, then we ‘snowballed’ into further discussion with other groups and chose our final five precepts from all of the options presented. We then shared these with the class.
