In a transformative experience, Year 6 students recently participated in the Junior Citizenship Scheme at Camden Salvation Army. Engaging with Transport for London, these young minds learned the ins and outs of using the tube and buses, gaining valuable skills for navigating their community. The program also facilitated discussions with local firefighters and police officers, providing firsthand insights into their roles and fostering admiration for those who ensure community safety. Beyond theoretical learning, the initiative incorporated hands-on experiences, allowing students to step into the shoes of emergency responders. The overarching theme emphasized the importance of community, building a foundation for responsible citizenship. As the Year 6s carry these lessons forward, they emerge as informed, responsible citizens, ready to contribute positively to their communities and shape the world around them.
