OPAL update
As part of our OPAL project, we have been opening up the infant and junior playgrounds for all children to access on Mix-up Mondays and Freedom Fridays. Following a vote in this week’s OPAL assembly, we have agreed to trial opening up both playgrounds every day of the week for two weeks. After the trial, we will hear from the children what they like/don’t like about it, before planning our OPAL offer for the summer term.

Thank you so much to families who have donated wet weather gear and equipment, we are hugely grateful. Our new OPAL donations drive is for the following items:
- Cardboard boxes of all shapes and sizes – please put these in the blue OPAL bins outside the church hall
- Flowers/petals for the mud kitchen/potions station – instead of throwing away your ‘past their best’ flowers, pop them in the blue bucket next to the OPAL bins outside the church
If you are able to donate any amount towards our OPAL fund, big or small, please click here. Many thanks! We are currently fundraising for another social space to join our new big green den (a small green den!)

Neurodiversity celebration week
Following on from last year’s success and positive feedback from children, staff and families, we will be taking part in this year’s Neurodiversity celebration week! The infants will explore stories about difference and how every individual is unique and special. The juniors will take part in age-appropriate sessions on neurodiversity, using guidance and resources from the University of Edinburgh and their programme LEANs (Learning about Neurodiversity in schools).

The Holy Trinity Way
Behaviour Tip: positive noticing before school
Imagine your child leaving home on their way to school with a big brown Paddington Bear-style label tied to them. What would you want it to say? Make these your last words to your child before they walk out of the door.
Occasional Places
On occasion we have spaces in which to welcome new children and families to our school. You are the ones that know us best, so if you know of any family looking for a school place, please do advise them to contact the school office to find out if we have any places. They are also very welcome to visit.
Christian Vision
At the heart of our school are high expectations and depth in faith that inspire us to grow, flourish and work together to achieve our full potential. It is our intention that we all develop our fullest sense of self, both individually and collectively.
Toward love and good deeds.
Hebrews 10: 24

This week we reflected on Palm Sunday, when Jesus rode into the city of Jerusalem on a humble donkey and the streets were filled with people waving palm branches and cheering. That act alone teaches us how to live with care, showing us that even the smallest acts of kindness—like laying down a cloak or sharing a smile—can make someone feel truly welcome and loved.
This special day also reminds us about the importance of co-operation. The people in the crowd worked together to create a path and celebrate as one big community. Just like the people in Jerusalem, we are at our best when we help and support one another and work as a team, be in the classroom, in performances or simply in the playground – working or celebrating together unites and energises us.
Palm Sunday is also a story of great courage. Jesus knew that the week ahead would be difficult, yet he kept moving forward with confidence and conviction. For us, being courageous might mean trying something new, resolving friendship discord, or admitting to a mistake, as daunting as that may feel.
As we celebrate this week, let’s try to carry that same bravery in our own lives, looking after each other with big hearts and helping hands.
Attendance and Punctuality

Our attendance continued to be a positive 96.5% this week.
The attendance bears go to Year 2 with 98.7% and Y3 with 99% – great job!
Well done to Y2 & Y3 for winning the early birds for punctuality.
