As part of our whole-school Mitzvah Day this week, Year 4 visited Ash Court residential home, bringing along some pieces of writing which we read with pride and enthusiasm to some of the residents there. We were struck by the incredible stories many of the residents shared with us and loved spending time with members of our local community we had not met before.
Inspired by our valuable experience at Ash Court, we then carefully considered how we could integrate acts of service into our daily lives and what benefit this could bring both to our local community and to the wider world. We decided to make pledges about what we could commit to as individuals, before recording and sharing these as a whole class.
