This term, Year 5 wowed us all with their incredible creativity in a one-of-a-kind Upcycled Fashion Show! As part of their art project, the children took old, unwanted clothes and transformed them into bold new designs using fabric dyeing and simple sewing techniques.
From colourful tie-dye t-shirts to carefully stitched accessories, every piece was a reflection of their imagination and skill. But it wasn’t just about style, our young designers had a powerful message too: clothes don’t need to go to landfill. By giving their garments a new lease of life, they showed how fashion can be fun, expressive, and environmentally friendly.
It was wonderful to see the pride on their faces as they strutted down the runway, showing off their sustainable style to classmates, teachers, and families. A huge well done to all of Year 5 for proving that the future of fashion can be both fabulous and thoughtful!
