Year 5 had an incredible day visiting the Gurdwara in Shepherd’s Bush to underpin the fantastic RE learning they have completed this year. During the visit, the children explored the Guru Granth Sahib and learnt about its importance within the Sikh faith. They also examined a range of artefacts linked to Sikhism and took part in Sikh meditation.

The children learnt about equality through visiting the Langar kitchen and discussing the importance of sewa (selfless service). Throughout the day, they explored many key aspects of the Sikh faith and deepened their understanding through thoughtful discussions and activities. The visit finished with an engaging presentation that helped consolidate everything they had learnt.

It was a wonderful experience, and the children were excellent ambassadors for the school throughout the trip.
