Year 4 have been working incredibly hard on their persuasive writing this week!
We began by selecting topics that we felt passionate about and identifying the target audience for our speeches. We then carefully planned and wrote three strong arguments, thinking about how we could use persuasive language to convince our audience.
Finally, we worked on creating powerful conclusions that would leave our audience convinced that our ideas should be put into action!
We had some brilliant and thoughtful topics, including why children under 13 should have access to free sports clubs, why children should have less homework, and why there should be more rubbish bins on every street to help reduce litter.
We have been so impressed by the passion, creativity and determination Year 4 have shown in their writing. We definitely have some future campaigners and speech writers in our classroom!
Well done, Year 4!
