OPAL update

Another week, another selection of wonderful OPAL photos!

If you are able to donate any amount towards the fund, please click here. We are currently saving up for some pods for the playground, for children who prefer a cosy, quieter space during playtimes.

The Holy Trinity Way

Behaviour Tip: Evaluate your use of tokens

Stickers, reward charts, and pocket money can seem like great ideas that work in the short term. However, these systems essentially buy today’s behaviour but invest nothing in the future. It leaves us in a never-ending cycle of bribery, missing vital teachable moments. Try switching to positive noticing and sincere connection. When we focus on how a child feels rather than just what they do, we build the intrinsic pride that leads to lasting change.

Occasional Places

On occasion we have spaces in which to welcome new children and families to our school. You are the ones that know us best, so if you know of any family looking for a school place, please do advise them to contact the school office to find out if we have any places. They are also very welcome to visit.

Christian Vision

At the heart of our school are high expectations and depth in faith that inspire us to grow, flourish and work together to achieve our full potential. It is our intention that we all develop our fullest sense of self, both individually and collectively.

Toward love and good deeds.

Hebrews 10: 24

This week have been reflected on an important part of the nativity story: The Flight to Egypt. In the Gospel of Matthew we hear that shortly after Jesus’ birth, Mary and Joseph were forced to flee their home under the cover of night to escape the threat of King Herod. This was not a planned journey or a holiday; it was a desperate flight for survival, turning the Holy Family into refugees in an unknown land.

This story is one that is still so prevalent in our world today. To be a refugee is to experience the profound loss of safety, the ache of leaving everything behind, and the vulnerability of relying entirely on the kindness of strangers. By beginning His life on earth as a displaced person, Jesus identifies intimately with the millions of people today who are forced to leave their homes due to conflict, poverty, or fear.

This story challenges us to move beyond mere tolerance and toward radical hospitality. It is our moral duty to ensure that no one feels like an outsider – we are called to be the open arms that welcome everyone in. By teaching our children about Jesus’ time in Egypt, we help them develop a hospitable heart. We encourage them to see that welcoming others is not just a polite gesture, but an act of love and care. We want a world where, just like the Holy Family, everyone can find a place of safety and belonging.

Attendance and Punctuality

Our attendance for this week was a positive 97%, meeting our school standard- well done to all! We had the second highest attendance rate in Camden for Autumn term 2025. Huge well done to us!

The attendance bears go to Y2 with 99% and Y5 with 99%!

Well done to Y1 & Y6 for winning the early birds for punctuality.

Why this matters, now more than ever.
Children who experience tension or conflict at home often struggle more with:

By strengthening parenting skills and reducing conflict early, we help children feel safer, calmer and better equipped to thrive both at home and at school.
