Christian Vision
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, by encouraging one another.
Hebrews 10:24-25
Jesus teaches us that in our lives we should be kind and loving and that we should treat others as we would like to be treated ourselves – we should love one another. Sometimes our lives can be so busy and full that we do not know if this is what we are actually doing. It is at these times that we must find a space to reflect on how we show love for one another. We must also remind ourselves that everything we like done to us, we should do to others. As we begin Advent, a time for preparation, one of the most important things we need to do is prepare our hearts. They need to be open and warm, so that we are ready to welcome the birth of Jesus.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
Sporting News
We were very proud of our Y3 and Y4 benchball players, who represented the school at a tournament at Talacre on Wednesday. The ended the competition as runners-up, meaning that a shiny new trophy will be gracing our downstairs hall! Even more importantly, they were superb ambassadors for the school, and great exemplars of the 3Cs of care, courage and cooperation.
RA YOUNG ARTISTS SUMMER SHOW – Advance notice!
Ms Periton has registered our school to take part in the Royal Academy Young Artists Summer Show! The standard for this annual competition is VERY high, but pupils from HTSS have been selected before. If your child has made an artwork they are proud of, we can submit it on their behalf. ONE artwork per child only. The submission period runs from JAN – MARCH 2024, so we have plenty of time. Perhaps you can get creative over the holidays? From January, please bring the NAMED ARTWORK to school for Ms Periton to photograph, along with A SHORT PIECE OF WRITING explaining what you have made and why. To find out more and see examples of work from previous years: https://youngartists.royalacademy.org.uk/
