Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit.

Christian Value of Service

This week our collective worship focussed on the antiphon ‘O Clavis David,’ ‘Key of David.’ We thought about the way in which a key helps us to let people in and how Joseph made Jesus a descendant of King David when he chose to marry Mary, knowing that this was not his son. So Jesus is adopted into the royal line of King David and opens the door into heaven, because he is the Son of God and the Son of Mary.

One lesson we learn from this is that if Jesus opens a door into the kingdom of heaven, we need be open to one another so that we share the love and joy that Christmas brings to us.

This is the message from the one who is holy and true. He has the key of David, and when he opens the door, no one can close it, and when he closes it, no one can open it.

Rev 3:7
