A huge congratulations to our girls’ football team on their spectacular triumph earlier this week, in the Year 3/4 Camden Girls Football Tournament. Throughout the competition, the girls played a total of six matches and not only did they go unbeaten, they also did not concede a single goal! Here is a list of their fixtures and results.
Game 1: 4-0 win against South Hampstead
Game 2: 3-0 win against Rhyl
Game 3: 4-0 win against Gospel Oak A
Game 4: 2-0 win against Torriano
Game 5: 2-0 win against Kentish Town
Game 6: 4-0 win against Gospel Oak B
The whole team played exceptionally well together and with all the hard work that they’ve put in, the girls thoroughly deserved all of their victories. As the winners of this tournament, our girls will now have to go and compete in the London Youth Games, which is the most prestigious primary/secondary school sports event in the country. The team will represent the borough of Camden and play against various of teams from around London. There will be more information sent out about this in a letter next week.
Teachers Strike
As you may well be aware, there are due to be two days of teacher strikes next week – Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th March. We are very sorry but this does mean that our school will be closed. We will keep you updated if there are any changes on this. Thank you again for your care and support of our wonderful teachers.
Christian Value of Forgiveness

This week we continued to explore the parables Jesus told his followers; these were stories that Jesus used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson. The parables helped people to think for themselves, to know how God cares for us and how we should care for one another. While each parable has one main point, it sets us off thinking in a lot of different ways.
Forgiving someone that has wronged us can be hard to do especially if they are someone that is not our friend; it is easier to love friends and family, but it is much more difficult to love those who you may not get along with, or even those who may harm or hurt you. The Bible story of the Good Samaritan is a parable to demonstrate how we should “love our neighbours as ourselves.” When others need our help the most, like the man beaten by robbers on the road, our love for neighbours is truly tested. While others passed by and ignored the injured man, it was the Samaritan (a man of a different faith) that stopped to help him. Jesus instructs us to be like the Good Samaritan, helping others in times of suffering no matter what their background or belief.
You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your friends, hate your enemies.’ But now I tell you: love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
Matthew 5: 43-47
Parent Portal
A reminder that we are re-launching the parent portal. In preparation, we are asking you to ensure that you update your RM Parent Portal App in your relevant app store. Updating the app will clear any previous issues and that you become active again by logging back into your Parent Portal App. If you have forgotten your password follow the reset link on the log-in page.
From Wednesday 15th March onwards you will no longer receive messages via Parentpay unless they are related to payment items. We will be messaging you about all other school matters via the RM Parent Portal.
Should you need any assistance with this, please e-mail l.stenmark@holytrinitynw1.camden.sch.uk or ring the school office.
Save the Date – Pip Art Frieze – Wednesday 22nd March 7-9pm
Here is a taste of some of the wonderful artwork created by our young artists. We hope that families and friends will join us in appreciating the art in person and will support the school in purchasing one of these unique pieces.
