One thing I ask from the Lord,
Psalm 27, v. 4
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
Happy Birthday Holy Trinity Church!

We welcomed Bishop Jonathan to our school this week as part of our celebration of 175 years of Holy Trinity Church. We were also delighted that Fr Graeme was able to join us (all the way from Walsingham in Norfolk) on Wednesday for a whole-school mass – it made it a very special birthday indeed!
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Solemn Mass in Church on Saturday 14th June has been postponed to a later date.

Christian Vision
At the heart of Holy Trinity & S. Silas School are high expectations and depth in faith that inspire our children to grow, flourish and work together to achieve their full potential. It is our intention for all children to develop their fullest sense of self, both individually and collectively.
Strong in our faith in God, let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, by encouraging one another.
Hebrews 10: 23-25

In the bible we hear Paul explain that following Jesus isn’t simply a matter for individuals – each person belongs to the “body of Christ” and has a different role to play, just as each part of our body is equally important. Paul tells us: “A foot can’t say, ‘Because I’m not a hand, I don’t belong to the body,’ and an ear can’t say ‘I wish I was an eye.’ If the ear did not exist, then the body couldn’t hear, and if the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? All the parts are different, but all of them make up the one body. God has put the body together, and given each part a different function. If one part suffers, the others suffer with it. If one part is praised, then the rest are happy for it. All of you make up Christ’s body, and all of you have an important role to play.”
This week, marking the 175th birthday of Holy Trinity Church, we reflected on how we are all part of one family. God sent the Holy Spirit to us at Pentecost and this binds us together as a family. The Holy Spirit has guided and continues to guide the church and it helps us to live out our school motto of ‘Fortis in Fide’ – Strong in Faith. Our 3 C’s of care, courage and cooperation help us to focus on our shared vision in which we work together and develop our fullest sense of self both individually and collectively.
Proverbs 27:17
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

New Emotional Wellbeing Website for Young People and Families
A new NHS website, packed with emotional wellbeing and mental health information and resources, has been launched to help young people and families, as well as professionals working with them, to navigate support options.
NCL Waiting Room was produced with the help and input of young people, families and professionals. It aims to be a ‘one-stop shop’ for information on specialist mental health services, community groups, emotional wellbeing and self-care resources.
It allows young people and their parents or carers to search for, filter and share resources based on their needs and preferences.
NCL Waiting Room will continue to grow and develop, so watch this space for more details. You can visit the website here and try out the Support Hub resource navigation feature here.
If you have any feedback on the website, you can do this on the relevant pages of the site, or email rtown@tavi-port.nhs.uk
