Summer Fair

Our heartfelt thanks to PiP and our whole school community for a truly wonderful Summer Fair. From those who spent hours planning and running stalls to everyone who came along to support, you made it a brilliant event for our children.
We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Summer Fair raised an amazing £3,047.45. This incredible total includes a brilliant £500 raised solely by our enterprising Year 6 students! Huge congratulations also go to Reception class, who topped the ticket leaderboard and have earned themselves a non-uniform day.
We also want to share our huge thanks and appreciation to Dexters Estate Agents for sponsoring our fair and donating £3000 towards our annual fundraising for working with arts specialists.
PiP Treasurer
We are looking for someone to succeed Pam Xenitellis as Treasurer for PiP and Trustee of the Holy Trinity & St Silas Foundation. Air Conditioning Update
We know that everyone is very keen to get the Air Con installed , and that the children have been waiting for a long time for this. Having first been delayed by being advised we needed special sound-reducing covers and needing to source those, we’ve hit a further obstacle with Camden Council who have refused our planning application (on the grounds that on a listed building the covers should not be metal but a more ‘sensitive’ material). This is extremely frustrating and we can only apologise; PiP and the school are doing all we can to challenge and expedite this. Unfortunately though it now looks unlikely that we will be able to install the Air Con this term. Please be assured that the system will be installed just as soon as we have resolved these issues. We will update you when we have more (hopefully better!) news to share.

Christian Vision
Toward love and good deeds
At the heart of our school are high expectations and depth in faith that inspire us to grow, flourish and work together to achieve our full potential. It is our intention that we all develop our fullest sense of self, both individually and collectively.
Hebrews 10: 24

This week we have been reflecting on the life of Saint Elizabeth of Portugal. Though she lived as queen long ago in the 14th century, the values she championed speak directly to the heart of our school community today, particularly our commitment to care, courage, and co-operation.
Elizabeth’s life was defined by an extraordinary capacity for care. Despite her royal status, she chose to see herself as a servant to her people, establishing hospitals, orphanages, and shelters for the vulnerable. Elizabeth however faced intense political turmoil, often placing herself directly in the middle of warring factions (including her own family members) to plead for peace. She possessed the quiet courage to stand up for what was right, even when it was difficult or dangerous. Crucially, Elizabeth knew she couldn’t transform her society alone; she relied heavily on co-operation. She acted as a master peacemaker, bringing together opposing sides to find common ground.
Elizabeth held high expectations for herself and for the peace of her kingdom; she would would not settle for the easy path. This is an important reminder to us all at how there is no easy path in life and that no matter how challenging things can be, we need to push through – it will always be worth it.
When we combine deep care, everyday courage, and joyful co-operation under the banner of high expectations, our children truly begin to flourish. To flourish means to grow completely into who you were meant to be—intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.
OPAL update
Two swings were introduced to the playground this week, much to the children’s delight! We spoke to them in OPAL assembly about how to use them safely and how to take turns. Mr Jimmy will be putting the swings out on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for the children to enjoy during OPAL lunch times.
If you are interested in reading more about our approach to play, you can access our play policy here.
If you are able to donate any amount towards our OPAL fund, big or small, please click here. Many thanks! We met our target for the small green den and plan to add this to our playground offer within the next couple of weeks. Thank you to all who were able to donate to the fund!
Uniform update 26-27

To support active learning and outdoor play in our school, we are moving to an ‘always active
uniform,’ starting September 2026. Click here to read the updates letter sent out earlier today.
Please note that the academic year 2026–2027 will be a transition year. There is no rush to buy new
items; children can continue to wear their current uniform until they outgrow it. PiP will also be selling
pre-loved current uniform at a discounted rate.
The uniform updates are minor, affordable, and maintain a smart appearance while making it easier
for children to be active. Click here to read the full policy and view the updated uniform list. To learn more, visit www.activeuniform.org or watch this video.

Behaviour Tip: managing transition
| As the school year come to an end, it’s completely normal for children to experience a mix of excitement and anxiety about transitioning to a new class. You can support them by making space for these big feelings: listen without immediately trying to fix their worries and let them know that lots of people feel this way when things change; refer back to times when they have felt nervous or worried before and have shown courage; help them feel contained by keeping home routines as consistent and predictable as possible and by talking positively about their new teachers and environment. |
Occasional Places
On occasion we have spaces in which to welcome new children and families to our school. You are the ones that know us best, so if you know of any family looking for a school place, please do advise them to contact the school office to find out if we have any places. They are also very welcome to visit.
Attendance and Punctuality

Our attendance this week is back to the school standard of 97%. Well done everyone!
Congratulations to the following classes who had the best attendance this week: Y3 with 99.6% and Y5 with 98.8%.
The Early Birds this week went to Y1 and Y3!
