As we look back on another remarkable academic year, I am incredibly proud of how our community has lived and breathed our school vision. At the heart of our daily life have been the high expectations and depth in faith that inspire us to grow, flourish, and work together to achieve our full potential.

Guided by our core values of care, courage, and co-operation, I have seen how our children have supported one another, faced new challenges with confidence, and collaborated to enable everyone to develop their fullest sense of self, both individually and collectively. As we enter the summer break, I hope our children find plenty of time to embrace the simple joys of childhood – playing outdoors, getting lost in a great book, and stepping away from screens to fully connect with the world around them. Thank you to our wonderful children, dedicated staff, and supportive families for your unwavering partnership this year, and I wish you all a safe, happy, and restorative summer break.

We look forward to welcoming you all back on Friday 4th September from 8:40am.

Governor Report to Parents

It has been an exceptionally busy year at Holy Trinity, and one which has underlined the creative, caring and ambitious nature of our school. Two inspections in one term – SIAMS and Ofsted – were significant challenges that our staff and children rose to magnificently, particularly as we were one of the first schools in the country to be inspected under the new Ofsted framework. Do take the time to read the reports if you haven’t already, as both highlight the care, courage and cooperation that were evident throughout the school. We would like to thank all of you – parents and carers, children and staff – for the commitment and energy you bring to our school, and we hope that you all have a wonderful summer break.

With my very best wishes,

Katie Roden, Chair of Governors

On behalf of the Full Governing Body: Arabella, Boo, Will, Lisa, Laolu, Hannah, Katie, Richard, Kate, Lorraine, Gill, Tessa, Fr Oliver and Fr Philip.

PiP Fundraising Target Reached!

A massive thank you to the whole school community – we have smashed our fundraising target of £13,300 and raised an astonishing £14,288 this year! Every lolly bought, item donated, token and raffle ticket has added up to a huge amount which will fund next year’s drama productions and other activities which can only happen thanks to PiP funds.

We will have another big target for the 2026/27 year ahead so planning has already started!
•  We’d love new members to the PiP organising committee and the wider PiP group who help with events. It’s fun and a great way to support the community. Get in touch with your year group PiP rep.
•  Regular Giving is the easiest way to support the school and creates really valuable reliable income. £5 per month adds up to a big impact so please consider setting up a monthly donation via this link.

Extra Mile Award

We are delighted to announce that our wonderful Coach Steve has been honoured with the Camden ‘Extra Mile’ Award. This well-deserved recognition celebrates his profound impact on our school, where his dedication has transformed not only our physical education curriculum but also the culture, behaviour, and wellbeing of our entire community.

Steve delivers consistently high-quality PE lessons across all year groups, going above and beyond to support every child. His patient yet firm approach has been instrumental in boosting pupil engagement and fostering positive behaviour across the school. Under his leadership, we have become active participants in all cross-school competitions, where our teams are regularly celebrated not only for their high level of achievement but for their exceptional sportsmanship and teamwork.

An inspiration to our children and a highly valued member of our team, Steve uses physical activity as a powerful vehicle to build character, confidence, and community. He embodies the spirit of the ‘Extra Mile’ in every endeavour, and we are incredibly proud to have nominated him for this prestigious award.

Air Conditioning Update

We know that everyone is very keen to get the Air Con installed , and that the children have been waiting for a long time for this. Having first been delayed by being advised we needed special sound-reducing covers and needing to source those, we’ve hit a further obstacle with Camden Council who have refused our planning application (on the grounds that on a listed building the covers should not be metal but a more ‘sensitive’ material). This is extremely frustrating and we can only apologise; PiP and the school are doing all we can to challenge and expedite this. Unfortunately though it now looks unlikely that we will be able to install the Air Con this term. Please be assured that the system will be installed just as soon as we have resolved these issues. We will update you when we have more (hopefully better!) news to share.

Regular Giving

If parents, family or friends are able to support the school regularly, please set up a regular donation with gift aid via our regular giving scheme on the link below. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a big difference.

Christian Vision
At the heart of our school are high expectations and depth in faith that inspire us to grow, flourish and work together to achieve our full potential. It is our intention that we all develop our fullest sense of self, both individually and collectively.

OPAL update

It can be hard to remember what playtimes were like before we introduced OPAL last October! What was it like before the den making, music and dress up?… before the arts and crafts, small world and swings?… before the water, sand and mud? It is safe to say that playtimes are now more child-led, varied and, most importantly, fun! It has been such a joy to see the children playing together, across year groups and in many different, playful ways. It has also been a pleasure to see the staff team respond so positively to the OPAL training. In September, we will continue our OPAL journey and introduce more varied play opportunities to our playground. In the meantime, here are some highlights from the year!

If you’re interested in outdoor play opportunities that are in line with our OPAL approach, these London adventure playgrounds offer summer holiday sessions and family days:

If you are interested in reading more about our approach to play, you can access our play policy here.

If you are able to donate any amount towards our OPAL fund, big or small, please click here. Many thanks! We met our target for the small green den and plan to add this to our playground offer within the next couple of weeks. Thank you to all who were able to donate to the fund!

Uniform update 26-27

To support active learning and outdoor play in our school, we are moving to an ‘always active
uniform,’ starting September 2026. Click here to read the updates letter.

Please note that the academic year 2026–2027 will be a transition year. There is no rush to buy new
items; children can continue to wear their current uniform until they outgrow it. PiP will also be selling
pre-loved current uniform at a discounted rate.

The uniform updates are minor, affordable, and maintain a smart appearance while making it easier
for children to be active. Click here to read the full policy and view the updated uniform list. To learn more, visit www.activeuniform.org or watch this video.

The Holy Trinity Way

Behaviour Tip: school holiday support

Support your child’s wellbeing this summer by balancing structured routines with plenty of outdoor play. Keep their minds active with fun, everyday learning like reading and cooking, and manage screen time by setting clear daily limits and tech-free bedtimes. As September approaches, ease transition anxiety by talking openly about the new school year and visiting the school gates to build confidence.

These book lists are also a useful resource when looking for ways into conversations about wellbeing at home:

Occasional Places

On occasion we have spaces in which to welcome new children and families to our school. You are the ones that know us best, so if you know of any family looking for a school place, please do advise them to contact the school office to find out if we have any places. They are also very welcome to visit.

Attendance and Punctuality

Our attendance across the year of 96.3% almost reached our target of 97% which is very positive. A noted well done to Y2 on achieving a very commendable 98% attendance!

  • Y1: 97%
  • Y2: 98%
  • Y3: 97%
