The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.

There is a PiP welcome morning next Friday 26th September at the school gates from 8:30 – 9:30am. This will be a wonderful opportunity for parents from all classes to mingle and to find out about the fundraising and social events for our school community.

Music Lessons – the one to one lessons taught by Camden Music begin from Monday 22nd September.

Occasional Places – on occasion we have spaces in which to welcome new children and families to our school. You are the ones that know us best, so if you know of any family looking for a school place, please do advise them to contact the school office to find out if we have any places. They are also very welcome to visit.

When the Adults Change

As a school, we are committed to teaching positive behaviours and supporting your children to meet our high expectations. Our inclusive learning environment has been created by adult behaviour that is both strong on boundaries and big on heart.

We are delighted that the work we continue to do with ‘When the adults change’ has been made accessible to families, and we will continue to share ideas in our newsletter.

For more information about supporting positive behaviours both in school and at home, you can sign up to the ‘Behaviour Book Club’ session, hosted by Charlotte Clarke from ;When The Adults Change,’ online at 8:00pm on the last Thursday of each month. You can find the joining link for the ‘Behaviour Book Club’ here (hyperlink: https://www.whentheadultschange.com/events)

If you’d like to learn more about the relational approach we use to positive behaviour management, you can buy a copy of ‘When The Parents Change, Everything Changes’ online here (hyperlink: https://www.whentheadultschange.com/when-the-parents-change) or we have copies available to borrow in school – ask us on the gate.

Christian Vision

At the heart of our school are high expectations and depth in faith that inspire us to grow, flourish and work together to achieve our full potential. It is our intention that we all develop our fullest sense of self, both individually and collectively.

Toward love and good deeds.

Hebrews 10: 24

The story of Moses in the bulrushes is a powerful tale that shows us how God has a plan for each of us and helps us grow and flourish, even in the face of great danger. It also highlights the importance of working together and trusting in God to help us in fulfilling our potential.

At the beginning of the story we hear that the Pharaoh of Egypt had ordered that all new-born Hebrew boys be killed, but Moses’s mother, refused to give up hope. She courageously placed him in a basket and hid him in the reeds along the Nile River. This act of faith shows her incredible trust in God to protect her son and teaches us that even when things seem impossible, we can find strength by putting our trust in God.

Moses’s older sister, Miriam, played a crucial role. She watched over the basket from a distance and, when Pharaoh’s daughter discovered the baby, Miriam cleverly approached her and offered to find a Hebrew woman to nurse him. This act of quick thinking and courage not only saved her brother’s life but also shows us the power of working together. Because of Miriam’s actions, Moses was able to grow up with his own family, learning about his heritage before being raised in the royal palace. The protection and love Moses received from his family and God’s intervention in his life allowed him to flourish and eventually become a great leader. He was able to use his unique upbringing and God’s guidance to help his people escape from slavery. The story of Moses shows that God has a specific plan for each of us, and by trusting in Him and using our gifts, we can start fulfilling our potential and making a positive impact on the world.
