We have been learning about what life might have been as a Victorian child! We learnt about the lives of children who were lucky enough to go to school – and the lives of those who weren’t. Year 1 found out about the appalling conditions of Victorian factories, as well as how unsafe and hazardous being a working Victorian chimney sweep was.
We realised how lucky we are to go to school and learn!
Year 1 then took turns being a Victorian child – either a chimney-sweep, a factory worker or a student.
