This week, as part of our learning in computing, Year 6 went to the Camden Learning Centre to take part in a hands on coding and programming session.

Year 6 started off with creating simple instructions given to a little machine developed by the Lego Spike kit.

As we became more confident in our coding skills, we then created ‘Hopper’ bugs that used motors to move Lego ‘limbs’. We raced them and improved our builds by adding more instructions or parts to the bugs.

Finally, we were able to make more complex builds and codes, such as a rubbish cleaner or a dancing robot!
