Albert Einstein

We have enjoyed a wonderful week of Twelfth Night shows, performed by the infants and Y3 & Y4. We very much look forward to next week, where we will see the oldest children in the school showcase their talent and all the experience that they have gained through the years of drama and performances at Holy Trinity & S. Silas School.

This must happen via the office. Please contact l.stenmark@holytrinitynw1.camden.sch.uk with any questions.

September date for your diaries

We will be holding a Meet the Parents event at school on Thursday September 21st from 6 to 7pm. If you are thinking about where to send your child for secondary, this is a great chance to hear from families at our local secondaries and ask them whatever you want. More details to follow in the autumn term.

Christian Value of Wisdom

This week we have reflected on our school’s very special saint, Silas. He was of the most prominent early Christian disciples that travelled with Paul converting people to Christianity. It was during the second mission that he and Paul were imprisoned briefly in Philippi, where an earthquake broke their chains and opened the prison door. Instead of escaping, Silas and Paul stayed in the prison singing hymns. They prevented the distraught gaoler from blaming himself and taking his own life; the grateful man then converted to Christianity. Silas and Paul knew that the wise choice was not the selfish choice: to escape. Instead, by staying, they saved a man’s life, brought the love of Jesus to another and were themselves acquitted and released.

The actions of Silas teach us that while it might be tempting to act only in our interests, if instead we act for others, this can sometimes have unforeseen positive outcomes for everybody.

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

John 13:34-35
