Year 3 travelled back in time on their exciting Stone Age Survivors trip to the Secret Garden at Hampstead Heath! We explored what life was like thousands of years ago by looking closely at real Stone Age artefacts and discovering how early humans lived and survived.
The highlight of the day was getting hands-on — we worked in teams to build our own shelters and even started fires using a flint and striker! Everyone showed fantastic cooperation, curiosity, and courage throughout the day.
It was a brilliant end to our history topic and a day we’ll never forget! 🪔🌿
